For me, Brighton is a hotbed of art, design and fashion goodness.
In every street you are bound to be confronted by the wacky, the unique, the beautiful and the inspirational.
The Brighton Collective is a great way to showcase the dozens of art and design treasures the city has to offer, and I hope to bring you some real gems.

‘As director of my own vintage event company (Doily Days) I have a vested interest in anything retro, kitsch or shabby chic! I fall in love regularly with products inspired by nostalgia.
I feel so at home in Brighton with it’s eclectic mix of fresh, funky designers. I’m finding out so much about little known, big talent – I hope you enjoy my articles.’ helen@doilydays.co.uk

As a model in Brighton, I’ve got to meet some amazing Fashionistas. I’ve seen the passion that goes into what the designers are creating and just how much belief they have in making something wonderful.
These designers and entrepreneurs are proof that Brighton definitely has it when it comes it fashion. We should be proud of our City and keep it going by investing in our wonderful locals. The talent doesn’t just lie in those that are creating the clothes, being the Fashion Editor of my college newspaper I get to see that Fashion is something loved by many.

I love how everyone in Brighton has a hidden talent: if you take a few moments to talk to anyone chances are you’ll find out that whatever they’re doing, that’s just their day job, and really they’re an aspiring artist or photographer or designer and so on.
I hope you enjoy my articles about the fantastic local talent!

Relatively new to Brighton, The Brighton Collective gives me an excuse and opportunity to get out there and explore the brimming creative scene. Interested in anything design related, I am always on the look out for quirky new products, people and events.
