These are massively chunky speaker stands made from ancient structural timbers from a local Victorian house. The high mass helps to isolate the speakers from the floor. To further improve the performance there is damping material sandwiched between the two upright parts. To get better results still, you could add spikes to the bottom of the stands and maybe sit your speakers on blu-tac before putting them on the stands

If you are into Hifi like i am you will appreciate that these stands sound great, giving a solid grounding to your speakers. They help to tame lively speakers and put some space into their delivery. If you just want some speaker stands that look nice in your living room rather than the horrible black metal stands you get from Hifi shops, these are worth a look.

They measure 575mm h x 300mm d x 200mm w, weight is high! i would estimate 10Kg each.
